Anubias plants are a hardy plant that is an aquarium favorite among many hobbyists. This rosette plant may reach up to 2-3 inches in length and has beautiful dark green leaves in low, handsome clumps. It usually has diagonal lines running from the center vein to the leaf perimeter. Anubias have tall, variable foliage that is usually pointed to ovate. It prefers moderate lighting, an alkalinity of 3 – 8 dKH, and a pH of 6.0 – 7.5. Because it grows well from cuttings, you can usually reproduce it easily. Under correct water conditions, the Anubias nana propagates by side shoots on the rhizome, causing rhizome division. Green Note: While earthenware clay beads may be fired for some time (some clay pieces take hours, I ‘m not sure what ceramic beads take what length of time in the kiln) at 1900 degrees or so, depending on the clay, most polymer clay beads can cure in 10 to 45 minutes at 230 to 300 degrees F, depending on the type and thickness of the polymer clay. (I used a small toaster oven and filled it up.)

I love jewelry that has the color and/or look of sand, ceramics, driftwood, and stone!

Faux Olive Stoneware was created by mixing a good amount of Ultra Light Sculpey with Black Classic Fimo, Gold Kato, Granite Fimo Effect. Sorry, I didn’t measure. I eyeballed it. I held it up to some olive stoneware.

Cured beads bend a touch if forced and feel much like a Studio by Sculpey and Premo mix — very very strong (turns out that Studio by Sculpey is stronger in compressions, bending, and tension tests than Premo or Classic Fimo). Cured at 280 degrees for 45 minutes. This way the clays that cure at lower temperatures were at their very upper heat tolerance limits, the clays that cure at 300 were at their lower cure temperature limits, none of the clays were being baked too long, and the UL and Kato baked long enough. I did a little research on www.glassattic.com first.

Tiles are about 1 1/8" long, Goddess with the leaf body is about 1 1/2" long.

I’ll use anodized wire (that black wire you can get in a hardware store) to make my own jump rings and perhaps chain and clasp.

Each tile bead has two bead holes to hang by and three from which to hand danglies.

May sell as a bead set, may sell as a finished necklace, may have trouble parting with it…not sure yet.

I was out on a photography adventure with my friend Mia and we found this almost deserted beach with lots of drift wood that would wash in from the ocean or erode away from the shore. It was stunningly beautiful here. So peaceful and tranquil. We walked around for several hours and I captured this photo when she was relaxing on this piece of drift wood.
