So this is how to treat any kind of drift wood. Mainly for those bigger pieces or pieces in bulk because boiling lots at a time takes a while and you might not have a big enough pot to do so. So soaking for 1-2weeks is the way to get out the tannin’s so it doesn’t turn your water brown in your tank. Everyday you soak it, change out the water and re-fill it. scrub down the wood after a few days of soaking and take off all the bark so it doesn’t fall apart in your tank.
